🎬 The Dopest Throwback — Tibbs Drive In
Yes, drive-in movies still exist in Indianapolis. And yes, you should be going.
Tibbs Drive-In has been open since 1967, sits right off I-465 on the west side, and somehow keeps four screens running and double features rolling all spring and summer long. Tickets are cheaper than they have any business being, the concession stand is stocked with everything you absolutely should not eat before bed (and absolutely will), and the whole experience makes you feel like a kid again. Don’t worry your body will remind you otherwise the next day.
Pack a blanket, throw the kids in pajamas (no judgment if you also wear them), tune the radio to whatever screen you're parked at, and remember what it feels like to watch a movie outside under actual sky.
📍 480 S Tibbs Ave, Indianapolis, IN
The Dopest Tip: Cash only at the gate, so hit the ATM before you go.

🍜 The Dopest Food — Thai Prime
Thai food is one of those things Indianapolis quietly does extremely well, and Thai Prime is exhibit A.
This spot is relatively new, so you may want to make a reservation. The menu is unapologetically Thai — pad thai, drunken noodles, panang curry, tom yum that will fix whatever's wrong with you — and the kitchen actually respects the heat scale. Translation: when you say "Thai hot," they will respect that decision and let you live with the consequences.
The space is fun, the drinks are colorful, and the dumplings will absolutely become a regular order. Dinner with friends, lunch escape from your desk, takeout on a Tuesday — Thai Prime fits all of it.
📍 1200 S Rangeline Rd
The Dopest Tip: Order the crab fried rice. Trust us.

🚲 The Dopest Adventure — Noblesville Rail Bikes
Imagine a bicycle. Now imagine that bicycle on actual railroad tracks. Now imagine pedaling that thing through six miles of Hamilton County woods. Welcome to Noblesville Rail Bikes.
This is exactly what it sounds like and somehow also better. You and up to three friends pedal a custom four-seat rail bike along a stretch of historic Nickel Plate track that cuts through forest, over creeks, and past more wildlife than any Hoosier has the right to see in one afternoon. There is zero balance involved (the rails handle that for you), the photo opportunities are absurd, and the second half is mostly coasting back — which feels like a reward you didn't earn.
It's the kind of activity that sounds like a gimmick until you actually do it, and then you immediately start texting people to come back with you.
📍 825 Forest Park Dr, Noblesville, IN
The Dopest Tip: Book the morning slot — fewer bugs, better light, way less heat.
Indy is always up to something. So are we.
